FACT ABOUT THE VBCI MK1

The VBCI MK1, in service with the French Armed Forces, is a cornerstone of mechanized units, offering a combination of mobility, protection, and firepower tailored to the demands of modern operations.

Powered by a 500-horsepower engine, it reaches a maximum speed of 100 km/h and has a range of 750 km, allowing it to maneuver effectively on roads and rough terrain.

Its modular armor provides enhanced protection against ballistic threats, mines, and IEDs, while its CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear) protection system ensures crew safety in contaminated environments. The French version of the VBCI MK1 can carry up to 11 soldiers, including a crew of 3, in a secure and ergonomic compartment.

Armed with a 25 mm KNDS France turret, a 7.62 mm coaxial machine gun, and the ability to integrate anti-tank missiles, it is highly effective against both ground and aerial targets. Equipped with advanced optronic systems, the VBCI MK1 delivers optimal firing accuracy, even while on the move or at night, making it a key asset for the projection of French forces in operational theaters.
