Augmented Maintenance Documentation
The AMD is a mobile application using augmented reality technology. It can be used as a training tool and as a maintenance aid for any type of system.
The 3D model of the weapon is superimposed perfectly on the real system. The HMI is at your fingertips, enabling you to navigate between the various AMD functions:
- Equipment location,
- System operation,
- Maintenance support.
This innovative solution reduces system downtime and standardises maintenance quality. The AMD is easy to transport and operational personnel can use it with a augmented reality headset or a tablet, depending on their needs.
EQUIPMENT LOCATION
The "equipment location" functionality answers the question "what are the components that make up the weapon?".
Operators have access to a hierarchy displaying the sub-systems and the equipment making up each of them. They can choose a sub-system, see a 3D representation of it and make an exploded view. Then, they can select a specific piece of equipment and access the associated technical information, such as its serial number or the maintenance cards associated with it.
By highlighting the equipment, you can also see where it is located on the real system.
OPERATION
The "operation" feature explains the internal mechanism in motion at each stage of a firing sequence by superimposing a 3D animation on the real system.
The operator hears audio explanations at each stage of the animations.
Voice control allows them to go back and review the animation or move on to the next stage.
MAINTENANCE
Thanks to the "maintenance support" function, operators have access to various types of documentation to help them carry out their maintenance tasks.
They can choose the work card they wish to carry out and organise their enhanced workshop before starting.
The head-up display gives the operator the chance to observe 3D animations of each stage of the work card before reproducing the technical gestures on the real system.
Audible instructions and voice control ensure that the operator's hands are free to carry out each step on the real system. Videos and technical diagrams are also available for a better understanding of each technical gesture to be performed.
