RAPIDFire is a gun system that offers high precision thanks to its optronic fire control system integrated onto the turret, its advanced algorithms, powerful gun and automatic ammunition management system allowing the best reactivity and efficiency for the operator.
FACTS ABOUT THE RAPIDFIRE LAND
Thanks to its powerful and accurate gun and optronic Fire-Control System (FCS), RapidFire Land is an autonomous or GBAD integrated system. Designed to counter massive attacks performed with simultaneous heterogeneous air and ground threats:
• Air targets: Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), loitering munitions, helicopters, Fighters Ground Attack (FGA), cruise missiles, RAM, etc.
• Ground targets: armoured vehicles, Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV), etc.
Associated with a high performance 3D radar and a versatile Command and Control (C2), RapidFire Land provides unrivalled anticipation capability.
The RapidFire Land system integrates: optronic Fire-Control System (FCS), remote controlled turret including gyro-stabilised 40 CTAS (Cased Telescoped Armament System) – in-service on French Jaguar and UK Ajax and contracted on Belgium Scorpion armoured vehicles, operator firing console, ammunition.
The effectibe range is up to 4000m.

Air and ground defence capabilities with real-time selectable ammunition:
- Anti-Aerial Air Burst (A3B) integrating hundreds of tungsten pellets
- Two types of fused High Explosive General Purpose Round (GPR) ammunition:
- Point Detonating (PD)
- Air Burst (AB)
- Armour Piercing Fin Stabilized Discarding Sabot (APFSDS) against armoured vehicle penetrates >140mm of Homogeneous Armour at 1500m
- Target Practice (TP)
