Modularity

Wegmann protection systems in configurations MPL-76 and MPL-76 HE are modular in design and can be safely integrated into a wide variety of vehicles and weapons stations, as well as for site defence.

System competence of the 76mm Wegmann protection systems

KNDS Deutschland supports forces in deployment with highly effective systems to protect against reconnaissance and threats from a wide range of effectors. Depending on the customer’s effect requirements, the protection system can use the corresponding ammunition in calibres 76mm or 40mm LV. Smoke ammunition thwarts the enemy’s target acquisition and reconnaissance with day and night-vision optics.

Wegmann protection systems in configurations Multi-Purpose Launcher System 76mm (MPL-76), Multi-Purpose Launcher Extended System 76mm (MPL-76 HE) and Multi-Purpose Launcher System 40mm (MPL-40) are modular in design and can be safely integrated into a wide variety of vehicles and weapons stations for site defence. They can also be used in autonomous operation, such as for camp defence. Upon request, KNDS Deutschland supports all customers with specific system solutions for protection system integration.

Use of internationally qualified ammunition and system compatibility confirmed by KNDS Deutschland.

Wegmann protection systems are configured for the use of special ammunition (explosive ammunition) and non-lethal ammunition (e.g. flash-bangs, tear gas, CS etc.).

The protective effects are discharged either as single shots or in half or full salvos, depending on the ammunition used.

Reliability

Wegmann protection systems have proven themselves in tens of thousands of wheeled and tracked vehicles for decades. They offer highly effective and active protection at superlative German quality levels.
