KNDS gründet Joint Venture LEOPARD Hungary MRO in Ungarn

KNDS Deutschland (KNDS) und die ungarische Firma HM Currus Zrt. (Currus) wollen in der Zukunft eng kooperieren und haben hierzu am 20. Februar 2025 das Joint Venture LEOPARD Hungary MRO Kft. gegründet. KNDS ist mit 49 Prozent und Currus mit 51 Prozent an dem Joint Venture beteiligt. Der Sitz des Unternehmens ist das ungarische Gödöllö.

LEOPARD Hungary MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Operations) soll langfristig die logistische Versorgung aller KNDS Systeme der ungarischen Armee sicherstellen. 2019 hatte Ungarn einen Vertrag über insgesamt 90 Systeme mit KNDS unterzeichnet, der, neben dem Kampfpanzer LEOPARD 2 und dem Artilleriesystem PzH 2000 auch Familienfahrzeuge wie den Bergepanzer WISENT und den Brückenlegepanzer LEGUAN umfasst. Zusätzlich wird LEOPARD Hungary MRO die Betreuung der Simulations- und Ausbildungsanlagen der Systeme übernehmen.
