BOXER Driver Training Vehicle – The training vehicle with comprehensive override capabilities

A driving training module is used for training drivers on the BOXER vehicle. The driving instructor sits in a driver's training cab, giving him a very good overview.

Facts about the BOXER Driver Training Vehicle

Ideally suited for driver training with the same vehicle characteristics and driving behaviour as a serial production vehicle.

The driver training vehicle serves as a training aid for obtaining a driver’s licence for the BOXER. It is only used for training purposes in peacetime operations.

The driving behaviour and the total weight of the driver training vehicle are virtually unchanged from the serial production vehicle, so that the trained driver does not need any further acclimation phase when switching to the serial production vehicle.

Active occupant protection

The driver training vehicle is equipped with active occupant protection in the cabin.

Full view of all displays

Driver’s station displays are duplicated at the driving instructor’s station, enabling the instructor to keep an eye on the operating conditions of the vehicle.

Crew

The driving training module provides space in the driver's training cab for the driving instructor and a student driver (or examiner). There is space for two more student drivers at the rear of the driving training module.

Driver under instruction

The override devices provided allow the driving instructor to intervene in the student’s driving behaviour, or even to counteract his operating forces.
