- The CENTURIO robotic system (2 to 3 tons class) is a versatile platform designed for advanced military applications. It combines several key components:
- Rolling Platform: CENTURIO is based on the PHOBOS all-terrain vehicle, tested by SERA Engineering (SOGECLAIR group), providing robustness and mobility across the most challenging terrains.
- KNDS Robotics Kit: This kit includes advanced hardware (sensors and computers) and validated software, enabling secure teleoperation and incorporating autonomous capabilities for a variety of missions.
- Mission Module Kit: CENTURIO can be equipped with various payloads, such as a manipulator arm for tasks like bomb disposal or countermining, or weapon systems, including the ARX20 (CENTURIO-X20, with a 20mm cannon manufactured by KNDS). Thanks to its modularity, the CENTURIO system can also integrate a range of turret systems tailored to specific needs, ranging from a 7.62mm caliber up to 30mm.
FACTS ABOUT THE CENTURIO PIONEER
“PIONEER” version: based on CENTURIO robotized rugged platform by KNDS France, the Pioneer variant is dedicated to C-IED operati¬ons; using interchangeable tools, the robot can dig into the soil, confirm presence of suspicious objects and manipulate IED. These tasks contribute to protect soldiers from IED threats and to speed up the military maneuver.
The robot is remotely controlled using robust radio links (or fiber optic when operating in jammed environments). It proposes various assistances (including autonomous capabilities to reduce the operator‘s cognitive workload and improve efficiency.

FACTS ABOUT CENTURIO X20
« X20 » version: Based on CENTURIO robotized rugged platform by KNDS France, the X20 variant is equipped with a robotized 20 mm gun . The gun has been adapted to provide reliable and efficient remote operation; it is operated using a safe and secured radio link, which is also used to control the mobility of the platform. The remote operator always manages directly the gun (from target designation to shooting) but can be assisted by various autonomous capabilities to manage mobility. All armed versions of CENTURIO are equipped with a secure, jamming-resistant radio firing system, offering mesh networking capabilities to ensure reliable and safe operations.
