Unmanned Systems
Manned-unmanned teaming
The modern battlefield extends beyond the physical reach of soldiers and vehicles. Unmanned aerial and ground systems enhance reconnaissance, protection, and strike capabilities while reducing risk to personnel. KNDS is focused on integrating these assets into a coordinated operational framework in which humans remain in control and are supported by robotic systems that enhance situational awareness, endurance, and precision.
CENTURIO X20

Robotics
Conceived as part of a broader combat architecture, CENTURIO-X20 delivers protected, remotely operated fire support tailored to mission needs. This system provides extended range and enhanced effects compared to small-caliber systems, offering armed forces a flexible response in demanding operational contexts while limiting direct exposure of personnel.
Key features:
- Robotized 20 mm gun
- Secured firing radio link
- 360° camera system with night vision
- Secured teleoperation up to 35 km/h
- Autonomous back on track capability
- Trajectory replay
- Vehicle following
ULTRO

Robotics
ULTRO is an 800kg, fully electric wheeled platform designed to support both mounted and dismounted tactical operations, including Direct Action and Reconnaissance missions.
Key features:
- 100% electric and silent
- Capacity to carry up to 600 kg
- Operational autonomy of 8 to 12 hours
- Maximum speed of 15 km/h
- Night vision capability
- Operation across a variety of challenging terrains
THeMIS
with KNDS mission modules

The THeMIS UGV with the KNDS modular payload system represents a new class of unmanned capability designed for integration into digital, mission-oriented operations. As a compact, tracked unmanned ground vehicle, THeMIS can support forces in high-risk environments while reducing exposure of personnel. Its open architecture allows rapid adaptation to different mission roles — from reconnaissance and logistics to fire support and counter-threat tasks. Its ability to operate alongside manned platforms, share data in real time and support coordinated effects makes it a key enabler for Software Defined Defense and mission-oriented forces.
Key features:
- Open architecture
- Multi-mission capabilities (logistics support, engineering, remote weapon stations, sensing etc.)
- Seamless integration into tactical scope (C2 from vehicle or carry-on)
- Easy remoting and integrated AI/autonomy functions for reduced cognitive load to operators
- Extended range by hybrid drive and energy
- Autonomous driving capabilities
The purpose of the KNDS THeMIS quick-change module system is to enable the mission purpose of a UGV to be changed quickly and easily. The mission modules with a weight up to 650 kg can be changed with a forklift or crane in about 10 minutes. This avoids long conversions on the loading area of the THeMIS UGV when changing the payload. The interface includes also the E/E connection to the vehicle.
There are different modules available and in development with different capabilities:
- Reconnaissance
- CASEVAC transport
- Mine breaching
- EW/C-UAV
- Effector
- Intelligent logistics
