The manipulator arm is used to examine and move explosive objects and potential IEDs from within the protected interior of the vehicle.
The DINGO 2 EOD provides a manipulator arm for conducting examinations and clearing heavy loads, and covers a wide range of EOD tasks. A camera system allows EOD operations to be observed from under protection.
In addition to its first-class protection and mobility features, the DINGO 2 owes the secret to its success to its variable equipment concept. Thanks to an extensive selection of equipment options, the safety cell can be adapted to the customer’s requirements.

Versatile system carrier platform, reliable and mission-proven
Based on the DINGO 2 Patrol and Security Vehicle, the EOD vehicle presents even more versatile operational possibilities of the protected vehicle built on the Unimog chassis. The adaptation of attachments such as a manipulator arm on the front vehicle interface allows new tasks to be performed and a broad spectrum of missions to be completed with a single base vehicle.
At the same time, the outstanding properties of the highly mobile Unimog chassis and the economic benefits of the cross-functional base vehicle are retained.
As a highly modern wheeled vehicle, the DINGO 2 is not only ideally equipped for diverse mission profiles and extreme terrain conditions, but also for a long and cost-effective service life. The militarised Unimog chassis reduces training and instruction effort for drivers and mechanics. The low-maintenance, robust diesel engine is also an economic advantage. Furthermore, the KNDS Deutschland customer service offers worldwide vehicle service – even directly in the deployment zone – and assists in spare part supply. This ensures that vehicles will be at full performance capability at all times.
