In addition to the Afghanistan and other allied armed forces, police forces and civilian aid organisations are increasingly being used in peacekeeping and stabilisation missions, such as those in Afghanistan. These forces are often exposed to the same threats as soldiers. The DINGO 2 Police was developed for their specific requirements.

As a highly modern wheeled vehicle, the DINGO 2 is not only ideally equipped for diverse mission profiles and extreme terrain conditions, but also for a long and cost-effective service life.
The militarised Unimog chassis reduces training and instruction effort for drivers and mechanics. The low-maintenance, robust diesel engine is also an economic advantage. Furthermore, the KNDS Deutschland customer service offers worldwide vehicle service – even directly in the deployment zone – and assists in spare part supply. This ensures that vehicles will be able to deliver their full performance at all times.

The protected engine hood houses the mission-proven 163 kW Mercedes-Benz power pack.
Mobility
The all-wheel drive Unimog chassis allows a total weight of 13.1 tonnes.
Signal effect
The vehicle is equipped with a special signal system with integrated sound sequence system on the roof as well as an individual ID light at the rear.
Safety
The armoured steel safety cell provides room for up to eight individuals and has protection from ballistic threats, mines and IEDs, as well as NBC protection.
