The ability to replace the mission module opens up new possibilities in mission planning and the provision of emergency forces. The development risk for new variants is significantly reduced, since the mission module can be planned with predefined interfaces.

Ideally suited for infantry operations in any mission scenario
The fully stabilised, cutting-edge remote-controlled turret with state-of-the-art optical and optronic sighting devices allows the entire crew 360° all-round surveillance, detection and identification of long range targets. The airburst-capable, fully stabilised 30mm automatic cannon enables precise target engagement even when driving. Situation-specific target engagement with two separate types of ammunition at the push of a button thanks to automatic double-belt feed.
In the future, both current and forthcoming BOXER mission modules can be universally deployed utilizing a wheel drive module and/or a track drive module. The ability to switch between wheel and track without restriction allows mission modules to be deployed with the best mobility capability (wheel/track) adapted to the specific situation.
This inimitable symbiosis results in high operational readiness, efficiency and above all reliability – made in Germany.
Power pack
With its MTU V8 engine generating up to 530 kW, the power pack provides the BOXER with maximum mobility in any mission scenario.
Crew
The large, armored crew compartment provides ergonomically designed operator stations for the crew and a configurable stowage concept for a wide variety of mission scenarios.
Highly protected
The modern add-on protection concept and modular design, consisting of a drive module and a mission module (safety cell), offer maximum possible protection for the crew.
State-of-the-art chassis
The single-wheel suspension with its long spring travel and hydraulic end stop damper minimises stress on the crew when driving both on and off the road.
Top protection
The use of cutting-edge protection technologies enables the use of modular protection configurations against different threats.
